Obverse
A patriarchal cross (x at the lower transverse bar) mounted on a base of three steps. Fleurons arise on both sides. Within a border of dots, a circular inscription beginning with a cross at seven o'clock:

Translation
Κύριε βοήθι τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Νικολάῳ ἐλέῳ Θεοῦ κληρικῷ, χαρτουλαρίῳ τοῦ οἰκονόμου τῆς Μεγάλης Ἐκκλησίας.
Lord, help your servant Nicholas, by the mercy of God cleric, chartoularios of the oikonomos of the Great Church.
Commentary
It is possible that the abbreviation in the fourth line of the reverse could be resolved as οἱκον(ομείου) but this does not greatly affect the understanding of the owner's function.
