Bust of the Mother of God holding the medallion of Christ before her. Sigla on either side: ̅ΘΥ̅: Μή(τη)ρ Θ(εο)ῦ. Within a border of dots, a circular invocative inscription visible at left, beginning at eight o'clock:

Translation
Θεοτόκε βοήθει το σῷ δούλῳ. Μήτηρ Θεοῦ πρόεδρον Στέφανον σκέποις.
Theotokos, help your servant. Mother of God, may you protect the proedros Stephen.

Commentary
It is not clear what proedros means here, either a title or a term used metri causa to refer to a bishop or metropolitan.
