The servant of the emperor, the emir Yaghibasan.

Commentary

See Oikonomides, "Les Danishmendides," for a discussion of this individual, Yaghibasan, the son of Amir Ghazi, governor of Sebasteia (1142-1164). The seal is dated to about the year 1146, on the basis of his brief association with the emperor Manuel Komnenos at that time.
