Translation

Ἰωάννου χαρτουλαρίου.

(Seal of) John, chartoularios.

Commentary

The monogram's resolution is uncertain, as the top of the seal, and of the monogram, is broken off. Assuming that there is a Τ perched atop the Ρ with a Υ sitting upon it, as seems likely, then we have this reading of "John notarios," finding an within the Ρ and Υ. If there is no Υ atop the Τ, then no sure reading comes to mind.
