This is the seal of John Kaspax.

Commentary

No parallels are known. Dumbarton Oaks Collection holds one more seal, listed below, bearing the name John Kaspax. It is not known, however, whether these two seals belonged to the same individual. Seals bearing family name Kaspax are listed in Stavrakos (Stavrakos, Die byzantinischen Bleisiegel, p.197).
