Commentary
In her commentary to this seal, Wassiliou-Seibt (in our view, correctly) points to the error by which the expected Ρ was rendered as Γ in the final line of the reverse. We have followed her reading in restoring the owner's name as Kastriotes.
Note that the inscription consists of two five-syllable hemistichs.
