Mother of God, help John hypatos, demarchos and komes tou nearou.

Commentary

It is possible that the komes tou nearou of this seal was in fact komes ton hydaton (komes of the waters, in charge of the city's aqueducts, cisterns, water supply), given that τοῦ νεαροῦ may mean "fresh water," corresponding with νερό in modern Greek.
