Translation
Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Ἰωάννῃ μαγίστρῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῷ Νεστόγγῳ.
Lord, help your servant John Nestongos, magistros and strategos.
Commentary
The reference to St Theodore (the Recruit) of the Sphorakion connects the owner to the church of this saint which stood in the district of the Sphorakion in Constantinople.
