Commentary
Jordanov identifies several groups of seals with the name Constantine Komnenos (Jordanov, Corpus II, no. 344), including the seals in the Dumbarton Oaks Collection listed below. While none is a parallel to the present specimen, most might be related to it. On the other hand, BZS.1958.106.1324, which differs significantly in epigraphy and is dated to the thirteenth/fourteenth century, is less likely to be related.
