Emmanuel, the gateway, may you protect Manuel.

The appellation "Emmanuel the gateway" refers to the Incarnation of Christ. Note the rare epithet ἡ Ἀβυσσινή ("boundless") accompanying the image of the Mother of God on the obverse.
