Translation

Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ Δαμιανῷ τῷ Δαλασηνῷ.

Lord, help your servant Damianos Dalassenos.

Commentary

The owner of this seal is to be identified as the Damianos Dalassenos dispatched to Bulgaria to put down the revolt of Bodin in 1073, with none too happy results; see Cheynet's commentary to the edition cited in this entry.
