Commentary
Previous editors have identified this Anna as the daughter of John Dalassenos Rogerios, who married Maria, daughter of the emperor John II Komnenos (1118-1143). The titles kaisar and despotes (granted to a son-in-law of the emperor) indicating Anna's parentage in the inscription therefore highlight her connection to the imperial family.
