Translation

τί σφραγὶς ἐν γράμ[μ]ασιν δείκνυσι, λέγε. κριτὴν Πεκόυλην [κο]ιαίστορα . . .

Say what the seal shows in its letters. [It presents] Pekoules, judge and koiaistor.

Commentary

The reading of this metrical seal is not certain, although the inscription resembles the one found on BZS 1955.1.4040. That inscription concludes with προγράφει which cannot be reconciled with the poorly preserved letters in the last line of the reverse, but we assume that the last word of our inscription here ends with a verb announcing the identity and offices of the owner.
