Standing figure of an emperor (Justinian II) dressed in the chlamys, crowned, and holding the globus in his right hand. Indictions years engraved on either side: γ|δ. Within a wreath border, traces of a circular inscription along the circumference:

Translation

Γεώργιος πατρίκιος καὶ Θεοφύλακτος άνφότερυ ἄρχοντες τοῦ βλαττίου.

George patrikios and Theophylaktos, both archons tou blattiou.

Commentary

The depiction of the sole figure of the emperor, coupled with the indiction years, points to the years 691/692, during the first reign of Justinian II (685-695). The owners of this seal are known from seals struck nearly twenty years later: see BZS 1958.106.658.
