“Written in Knots” Guided School Visits

Request a guided school visit to “Written in Knots: Undeciphered Accounts of Andean Life” at Dumbarton Oaks

Guided school visits must be requested at least one week in advance of the prospective date and are free of cost.

We prefer to host prebooked guided school visits between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m., Tuesday–Friday. However, if these times do not work for your school group, we can likely accommodate you at another time. The tour can last up to 90 minutes, and it can be adjusted to fit the group's interests.

Tour requests are based on availability and will be booked in the order in which they are received. Please understand that submitting a tour request form is not a confirmation of your reservation.

For further information, please contact India Patel at pateli01@doaks.org.

Please note: The Museum building is fully ADA-compliant. The front entrance is accessible by both a ramp and stairs. Accessible restrooms are located in the Museum lower level and can be reached by elevator. The historic hillside garden, where portions of a hands-on activity can take place, presents significant challenges to visitors with mobility impairments. However, school visits can be shaped to accommodate any accessibility needs.
