Description
Letter discusses an enclosed blackline print, #96-08 showing the proposed scheme for the projecting seat at the north side of the Ellipse. It is proposed that a dummy be created so that it can be viewed by both Mildred Bliss and the Garden Advisory Committee. Alden Hopkins suggests that the Ellipse remain as is through the summer. In the meantime, he will keep an eye out for colored pebbles, pebble patterns and designs on walls in connection with water and fountains, masks, etc.
Alden Hopkins thanks John Thacher for the letter with an enclosure.
Copies also sent to Mildred Bliss and Michael Rapuano.
Handsigned initials in ink.
