Bust of St. John Prodromos raising his right hand in blessing and holding a scroll in his left. Inscription in two columns: |ι̅|ο||ρο|μ : Ὁ ἅ(γιος) [Ἰω(άννης)] ὁ Πρ(ό)δ[ρομ(ος)]. Border of dots.

Reverse

Translation

Σφράγισμα γραφῶν σφραγὶς ἡ τοῦ Προδρόμου.

The seal (of the monastery) of the Prodromos authenticates our correspondence.

Commentary

Twelve-syllable verse. The reading of this seal, especially the obverse, has been restored with reference to its better preserved counterpart: BZS 1958.106.5382.
