Commentary
The owner of the seal presents himself as a professor of law (νομοδιδάσκολος), but the seal seems to be too late to connect him with the school of laws founded in the 1040s. The absence of a family name prevents any sure identification of this Michael; see Wassiliou-Seibt's comments in her entry on this metrical seal.
