Commentary
The reverse abbreviation written in Latin characters seems to also indicate the name Priskos contained in the monogram, although it is possible it is an abbreviation for something else, such as Praefectus. An alternative, but less likely, reading of the monogram, Κρίσπου (Krispos), is made much less likely by the inscription of the reverse; a resolution as Prokopios is impossible because of the clear presence of the Σ at the bottom right of the monogram and the ligature above it, rendering both the nominative and genitive of the name impossible.
