Bust of the Virgin holding a medallion of Christ. On either side of Christ, the sigla: Ι̅Σ-Χ̅Σ : Ἰ(ησοῦ)ς Χ(ριστό)ς. Visible at right of the Virgin: Θ̅Υ : [Μ(ήτη)ρ] Θ(εο)ῦ. Border of dots.

Reverse

Inscription of five lines, followed by a decoration. Border of dots.

Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῷ Νικολάῳ ἐπισκόπῳ Προυσιάδος.

Mother of God, please help your servant Nicholas, bishop of Prousias.

Commentary

The reading of this seal has been restored on the basis of the better preserved parallel from the same boulloterion (BZS.1955.1.4666) and another published by Zacos, Seals II, no. 617.
