Translation

Πεδιασίμῳ Συμεὼν δυὰς στίχων ἐπισφράγισμα γραφῆς, οὐκ εικόνες.

A pair of verses, not images, put the seal on the letter of Symeon Pediasimos.

Commentary

See Wassiliou-Seibt's commentary on this interesting inscription proclaiming the owner's avoidance of images on his seal. She also notes that the inscription on the reverse falls one syllable short of a dodecasyllabic verse.
