An emperor (Leo III) standing, wearing a chlamys and crown with cross, holding a globus cruciger in his right hand and an akakia in his left. At left and right: Βˊ : Ἰ(νδικτιὼν) β'. Circular inscription along the circumference, beginning at 12 o'clock. Wreath border.

Inscription of six lines. Indeterminate border.

Translation

Ἀναστασίῳ βασιλικῷ βαλνήτορι καὶ γενικοῦ κομερκιαρίου ἀποθήκης Κωνσταντινουπόλεως.

Commentary

Zacos–Veglery correctly identify the emperor as Leo III and assign the seal to the date 718/19. See also BZS.1951.31.5.1764.
