Professional Biography

Violists Aria Cheregosha & Lauren Spaulding of the Tallā Rouge Viola Duo perform music that lives at the palpable intersection between Jazz, Folk, Pop, Middle-Eastern, and Western Classical traditions. This dynamic and genre-bending ensemble ignites the stage with their fiery Persian and Cajun heritages — challenging the standards of what “classical music” can look like in today’s evolving world. Noted as “the little viola duo that could” by Chamber Music America Magazine, Tallā Rouge’s most recent season included their debut in Carnegie Hall and with NPR live.
