David Conine

Director of Facilities

Professional Biography

David Conine leads the Facilities Department, which consists of engineering and maintenance of the buildings and their architecture, custodial services, events setup/breakdown, food operations, and mail services. He oversees capital planning and project management for the 16.5-acre urban campus and represents the institution in neighborhood and regulatory commissions and agencies.

Conine has a BS in construction management, with a minor in business from the University of North Florida, as well as an MA in museum studies, with a minor in nonprofit management from Johns Hopkins University. He served as the Director of Facilities at the Museum of the Bible and as Head of Facilities at the Folger Shakespeare Library before coming to Dumbarton Oaks and has nearly 17 years of construction, facilities, and project management experience.
