Manuel Cuyun

Professional Biography

Manuel Cuyun joined Dumbarton Oaks as Director of Finance in 2019. In this role, he advises on strategic policy, ensures efficient management of our resources, manages cash flows, strategizes long-term sustainability of the endowment in relation to the mission of Dumbarton Oaks, and maintains responsibility for the preparation and management of budget and forecast. He works to make certain that accounting principles are followed and that the organization acts in accordance with financial best practices. The Finance Department, which he oversees, handles day-to-day transactional accounting for the organization.

Cuyun has a wealth of knowledge in finance with over 10 years of experience in non-profit institutions. Prior to his arrival at Dumbarton Oaks, he served as Controller for Landon School, an independent school for boys, where he oversaw the business and finance office operations. Manuel has a BS in Finance with a Minor in Business Administration from University of Maryland University College.
