Nevena Djurdjevic

Professional Biography

Nevena Djurdjevic joined Dumbarton Oaks as director of human resources in October 2021. She first joined Dumbarton Oaks as a member of the Director’s Office team in 2012, later serving as human resources specialist until 2018. She and her team support the organization across all areas of human resources, including recruitment and talent planning, hiring and orientation, training and development, employee relations and engagement, performance management, and promotion of a diverse and inclusive work environment, while ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and strategy.

Djurdjevic holds a master of science in human resources from Brandman University, a master of science in environmental science and policy from George Mason University, and bachelor of science in environmental engineering from University of Nis, Serbia. She also holds a senior professional certification with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and is certified with the Human Resource Certification Institute (PHR-HRCI). She previously served as senior human resources partner for QIAGEN Sciences, a German provider of biotechnologies for molecular diagnostics, applied testing, academic and pharmaceutical research, based in Germantown, Maryland.
