The Poulenc Trio—celebrating its 20th season as America’s best-known piano wind ensemble—is back with the concert “Celebration: Rossini, Poulenc, the Duke, and Beyond.” The program for oboe, bassoon, and piano explores how diverse composers find and uplift the human spirit through their works. The highlight of the evening is the Washington, DC, premiere of the whimsical Explain Yourself!, composed for the trio by Dumbarton Oaks 2020 Musician-in-Residence, Viet Cuong.
