Royall Tyler to Robert Woods Bliss, September 3, 1935

Hôtel Beau-Rivage

Dear Robert.

Just a hurried line to say that I’ve just had 1½ hours with Paul S.: spellbound. It’s the biggest thingThe possible sale of prints and drawings from the Albertina Museum, Vienna. See letter of July 17, 1935 [1]. that could happen in the world of art, and I’m delighted to hear of your attitude towards it.

If, as I trust, there’s no surprise in store in connexion with the actual title of possession, I should think the thing will go through. I’ve told Paul all I know that might be of use to him in the circumstances, and we are to meet again today or tomorrow.

Love to both
