Commentary
As DOC 2.2:588, no. 29 (better specimen). Grierson notes (DOC 2.2:588, note 29) that this specimen was published by Longuet (“Notes de numismatique byzantine”). But he recognized upon acquiring this specimen that his own conjecture about the letter to the left of the was incorrect. The is part of NNO, not the numeral , as he had suggested.
