Translation

τύπος σφραγίδος μηνύει τὸν δεσπότην.

The impression on the seal discloses the owner.

Commentary

We take the metrical inscription to mean that the image impressed (τύπος σφραγίδος) on the obverse (St Demetrios) is the clue to the identity of the seal's owner.
