Translation

ἐκ τῆς γραφῆς νόει με τίνος τυγχάνω καὶ γὰρ παριστᾷ κλῆσιν ἅμα καὶ τύχην.

Know whose I am from the letter, for it presents my name together with my station.

Commentary

This metrical inscription, consisting of two twelve-syllable verses, should be added to the collection assembled by Wassiliou-Seibt, Corpus der byzantinischen Siegel mit metrischen Legenden.
