Obverse

Bust of St Theodore, wearing a chlamys (buttoned on his right shoulder) and the maniakion, and holding the martyr’s cross before him. On either side a vertical inscription: ο|α|γ,-θ|ε|ο|δ, : Ὁ ἅγ(ιος) Θεόδ(ωρος). Along the upper circumference, inscription within a border of dots:

Ἅγιε [Θεόδωορε β]οήθει
