Commentary
On Meligalas’s career, see the commentary at BZS.1955.1.1042.
The blank is too small for the die, and what remains of the fifth line on the reverse is not legible. It could complete the office (-θεσίου) or it could include, in a heavily abbreviated form, another office. Other seals of Meligalas attest his serving as paraphylax of Abydos (BZS.1955.1.1067–1072) and kommerkiarios of Thessalonike (BZS.1955.1.1028).
