Commentary
Zakythinos (Meletai 17, 259-60) has shown that Nicholas had a temporary mandate over tax collection on the two islands. One cannot say whether the dioikesis of Samos and Chios was part of Aigaion Pelagos or of Samos. We know of one more dioiketes of Chios, Michael (Sig., 196).
