Commentary

St Achillios is conspicuous by his absence on seals. He appears on just seven seals in the published collections, of which four were issued by metropolitans of Larissa (the ecclesiastical and administrative center of Thessaly in the Byzantine period) which was the site of his cult since he had been metropolitan there during the fourth century.
