Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει. Νίκωνος στρατηλάτου καὶ κὀμιτως.

Mother of God, give Thy aid. (Seal of) Nikon, stratelates and komes.

Commentary

The reading of this seal is not entirely certain. The owner's name is engraved together with the invocative monogram but it appears to be given in the genitive case (as are his title and office), rather than in the expected dative case.
