Mother of God, help Soterichos, bishop of Dardanon.

Commentary

This seal and BZS.1951.31.5.1090 come from the same boulloterion.

Modern Maltepe is situated along the Asiatic coast of the Dardanelles. The see, a suffragan of Kyzikos, was in place by the mid-fifth century and is attested in all notitiae until the thirteenth century. See Laurent, Corpus V/1, 256.
