Obverse

Image of Christ, blessing with his right hand and holding a gospel book in his left. Sigla preserved at left: ΙΣ̅ : Ἰ(ησοῦ)ς [Χ(ριστὸ)ς]. Illegible traces of an inscription along upper circumference. Border of dots.

Reverse

The Virgin, with her hands raised before her. Sigla preserved at right: ΘΥ̅ : [Μ(ήτη)ρ] Θ(εο)ῦ. Border of dots.

Commentary

On the obverse, there appears to be the remains of a circular inscription. George Zacos read this as ΟΙΛΑΝ. If this is correct then this seal is similar or parallel to the two previous specimens.

Parallel or similar to Schlumberger, Sigillographie, 139-140 (=Laurent, Corpus 5:2, no. 1183= Šandrovskaja, Sfragististika, no. 811).
