Typewritten letter discussing the memorial tablet for William James Gray, Royall Tyler's approaching visit, and comments on measurements for the Forsythia Gate.
Enclosed copy of inscription for Gray.
"The Council for Dr. Hale's great 200-inch telescope" that Farrand mentions belongs to the California Institute of Technology's Hale Observatories, previously called Palomar Observatory.
