Translation

Θεοτόκε βοήθει Λυκάστῳ ὑπάτῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατιγῷ.

Mother of God, help Lykastos, hypatos, imperial spatharios, and strategos.

Commentary

Similar seals from the same period indicate that this Lykastos may have been strategos of Cephalonia, but a reference to this location is not present on this seal.
